Photoshop automate actions is an amazing feature that allows you to record a set of actions and apply it to multiple files.

Go to Window -> Actions in photoshop

In the panel at the bottom there will be a bar

Click on new then name the action. eg: resize images 600px

and then press play.

Do what ever you want recored to the image open.

Then press stop.

Then go to File -> Automate -> Batch

Set the section Action to the action you just recorded

Choose the folder or open files you want to have the same action implemented to.

and click ok.
